Humble Beginnings... GOD can take nothing and make it into something!

It all started with a word in the shower! 

Yes, in my most vulnerable state the LORD gave me a word. 

HIS Grace your Faith was founded in February 2019 with the foundation verse

Proverbs 16: 3- 4 "Commit to the Lord  whatever you do,
    and he will establish your plans. " 

On a February morning minding my own business ( pun intended)  the Lord gave me a download of a full business plan for HIS Grace your Faith.  HE told me what I was to name the business (which coincidently enough is the name of my two daughters Faith and Grace) and gave full instructions on what we were to sell and the purpose of the "why"... . its not about money....  its all about the people, the people! GOD'S people! It reminds me of a Maori proverb we have in New Zealand...

He gave very specific instructions on what we are to accomplish and the people we are to help! I think you can agree we need the gospel more so,  now than ever! 

Looking back I wish I could say my response was ' awesome, lets do this, Lord!' but honestly my first response was ''There is no way that I would ever enter into an already saturated market of Christian apparel, LORD! '  There is no way, and I started naming all the reasons why!

 In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty. – Proverbs 14:23   ( ouch) 

Girl, what were you thinking!?  I procrastinated for a year and a half, but Holy Spirit kept tugging at my heart!

Oh, how the flesh leans to its own understanding!  But my very response confirmed that this was not my own idea or my thinking! Because if it was me I would not even attempt to try! Sadly,  this "was" my attitude through life! 

It got me thinking, how many of you are sitting on ideas that the Lord has given, but the fear of failure or fear in general that it wont work is stopping you. I say to you today if the Lord gives it to you HE will bless it.  BUT you have to do your part as it will not be handed to you on a nice little plate,  you have to work hard for it!  

"Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed." Deuteronomy 28:6 

I am glad  that despite my initial feelings and procrastination,  I went ahead without knowing anything about the world of E- Commerce. It has been a long hard road and many hours upon hours of planning and don't get me started on the world of trademarking! I had a lot to learn about  SEO'S,  PODS, marketing, policies, liquid files, taxes and GST and the list goes on!

But the cool thing is the Lord opened doors for me in the form of jobs that grew me in the areas that I needed to learn,  areas that pushed me out of my comfort zone, and boy did it! Every job I held purposed me for this season. It blows my mind looking back how HE strategically placed me in areas - but that is a whole other story! 

Reflecting back I am in awe of what HE can do through someone who submits to His will. Gods favour has no limitations, He only requires you to GO and DO!

Every t -shirt design has come about from times in worship or a word that pops out whilst reading the scripture or something that stands out in a sermon.  Every word and phrase that are on our t-shirts are not just words we have thrown together but have come out of a place in communion with HIM. We then pray over each design! If HOLY SPIRIT is not part of it then we don't want it! 

Once the words or phrases are established, it then gets sent to our very own designer!  How blessed are we that we happen to have a digital designer who, ahem... graduated with honours in our family. Our  brother in law/ brother/uncle Malaki Peseta pronounced (MAH - LAH - KEY ) is our very own talented designer!  

We at HGYF are all about family so it was only natural that our whole family got involved. Both our daughters Faith and Grace are in charge of marketing and the creative concepts. And my husband  and I oversee the functions and running's of our store. And my brothers/sister in law, my nieces, nephews and my daughters are our gorgeous models. Love them to bits! 

We at HGYF are excited to see Holy Spirit move with our humble clothing line.  We  want to share the gospel and let everybody know that Jesus is very much alive and coming back SOON!
